Our lecturers and teachers

The people who make the difference.

A good teacher or lecturer changes how a student feels about a subject. That is why we are careful about who teaches at Northbridge Academy.

How we choose

What we look for in a teacher or lecturer.

  • Strong knowledge of the subject, backed by a relevant qualification.
  • The ability to explain difficult ideas in plain language.
  • Patience, reliability and genuine care for students.
  • Comfort with teaching online and using simple digital tools.
  • For high school teaching: experience with CAPS or the IB curriculum.
  • For higher education level: a strong qualification in the subject, and ideally lecturing or industry experience.
